How to make a simple glowing lightsaber prop in blender (eeve)

If your making a light saber for a GFX then here is a simple way to make it using the “bloom” eeve effect in blender. First, insert/model a light saber hilt. Add a cylinder mesh and using shift+a and then select mesh>cylinder

After that simply size it into the way you wish to and put it into the hilt.

After that on the right hand side there should be this tab
Click “New” after that change the surface to “emission”

Now we can put the strength up a little and change the color to your desired saber color image
Now for the final part
Make your render engine Eevee and select bloom. And then we’re done. image
