How to make alpha clip bush and tree textures

How would I do this. I did this before however all tutorials are outdated because of blender updates. if anyone knows let me know!

You just insert two perpendicular planes and slap on a texture. Is that what you mean?

That doesn’t work, the background is black when I import them into studio.

Use a surface appearance with its AlphaMode set to Transparency.

Ohhh that worked. I didnt use that before will it cause perfomance issues having an extra instance in the part?

What do you mean by having an extra instance as a part?
