How to make clothing *seemingly* made out of parts?

This is a support category for asking questions about how to get something done on the Roblox websites or how to do something on Roblox applications such as Roblox Studio.

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. What do you want to achieve?
I want to make clothes similar to the clothing seen in games like whizzbang (picture below)

  2. What is the issue?
I’m not sure how to go about making this clothing, I’m very inexperienced with this kind of stuff

  1. What solutions have you tried so far?
I looked at some posts, but I didn’t exactly understand them

If you have some rudimentary knowledge of manipulating and scaling parts in Studio, this should be pretty easy to accomplish.

I would use an R6 rig as your template to build clothing and accessories off of. Simply create parts and push/pull their size and position so they fit your needs, then texture it afterwards.

When you’re going to attach those pieces to an actual character of a Player, I would disable CanCollide for every part that composes the clothing to false, that way it doesn’t interfere with the character. Using a WeldConstraint allows you to connect those pieces of clothing to the characters’ body parts.

Hope this helps.
