Hello developers, recently I needed to implement a power transmission line system, but the main trick was to make wind dynamics for the wires so that they would swing and also be located between the supports.
I had the idea to use the WindShake module, but I had little experience creating objects other than bushes. Plus, I didn’t know how to position the bones correctly in Blender. I decided to start by simply making a curve and turning it into a mesh and positioning the bones as shown in the photo.
I honestly didn’t know what it would look like. As a result, I ended up with a network that looked like a snake trying to attack someone😂…
I tried using SmartBone, but it didn’t feel like the wires were moving in the wind, and the mesh also broke in some parts. I also want to note that I did not assign the WindShake tag to those bones that are tied to the ends of the wire.
I don’t know if I need to use Rope Constraint and if it’s possible to make a sway for them, etc. I would like to ask you for help in implementing this system.
