Anyways, I made this game a while ago when the whole wait in line game trend was a thing in a few days. Here
It has all the functionalities as the other games. I believe that as it is similar to other games it could potentially be picked up by the algorithm and be another one of those games and get younger demographics to play it.
However I’ve done 0 marketing into the game and the Egypt property joke that the game centred about died months ago.
I know the best way to get visits is to sponsor games but I have only 7k Robux and that wouldn’t get a lot of visits if spent on ad credits yet alone make people buy stuff in game.
I know about social media as a potential source however I tried that for over games and the turn out is bad. Likely also for a game where you literally just wait in a line. While it might get kids to stay in the game for some time. It won’t make for good videos to advertise with.
What I want to know is what I can do to get the game out to the vast number of children that are willing to play literally anything on Roblox as well as ways I can monetize the game more, aspects in other line games that I didn’t add, and also some random current trend the new premise of the game can be.
I know that the game even if picked up by algorithm won’t stand out. However that is not a concern for me as the game took very little time to make.
(The leaderboard is bugged and I forgot to disable player respawn, both would be easy to fix)
I would start by fixing what doesn’t work before you do anything. Aside from buying the property I did not find anything to do and so I left after 2 minutes. Perhaps you can add more features in the game?
I think that the trend has died down a bit but there is still room to improve on this, if you add some more events I think it may become more popular, my game only blew up randomly after a few years. It does take time for it to expand and get players. I personally found not using ads if they’re even still around gets you better reputation.
A huge tip I will leave off on is: Explain in the description what to expect in the game so people know what they’re going to play.
Dont assume your game will just do good because of younger players play low effort cashgrab games not only is the wait in line trend dead and the egypt one too those kind of games need alot of money behind ads to even have a small chance at having a decent ccu these 2 things are the most important
1> have i made something worth coming back for? typically this is a daily reward in most games or a global cooldown finishing
2> is there a reason why people should play for a good amount of time and not quit instantly
and most importantly for your case in general is the whole wait in line thing needs multiple players for it to be even a thing and with ads you get around like 1-2 ccu
You didn’t answer any of the questions posed. If insulting people makes you feel better do it elsewhere please, now. Can you give actual suggestions, that was why I made the post. Saying it’s bad is not a suggestion it’s a critic.
What things do similar games have? I played some and couldn’t find much.
I found ui buttons for inviting friends, auto skip game passes and one game had you fight an AI at the end. Their ui looks better but I can’t say why, like it’s just more pleasing to look at, the game was chicken jockey line if you can pinpoint why so I can get the same ui I’d appreciate it.
First of all, those who make a “game” like this and get it popular have a pre-established group of players, coming over from previous releases, who will quickly populate it on release. Especially in a “game” about waiting in line, no one would join it if it has 0 players, as there is no line to wait in. So unless you tank your rent money into ad credits on day 1, it is sentenced to failure.
Second of all, the “game” (this does not classify as a video game IMO) is an obvious cashgrab that few would fall for. Even if the algorithm picks it up, you’d have some inconsistent profit for a very short time that would barely afford 10 (the minimum for a purchase) ad credits for the next big meme.
I’m aware of that which is why I said I was hesitant to spent anything on ad credits. I have better games but those aren’t monetized and I spent credits to monetize one of them once and while it got good reactions it didn’t earn anything.
I don’t know how it’s possible for me to make something that isn’t too ambitious for one person, fun to play but also monetizable.
just spend a few months making something addictive and high quality but easy to update for 1 dev obviously a open world game wouldnt be a good pick for a solo dev but a tower defense is manageable
He meant in terms of quality. The game could have taken the devs careful consideration and it could involve complex well made systems but if the game is repetitive and unoriginal the players aren’t going to care if the devs poured effort into the game
This is wrong.
My post gave valuable insights about how your game could be fix, while also pinpointing the current issues with the game. You seem to have understood absolutely nothing about my post.
This is shameful that you give such a reply. Please go ahead and read it once again carefully.
what gane do you want me to link i wasnt talking about anythign specific i was just talking genres however i used to own a open world game as a duo dev and it wasnt easy as i was doing all weapons models vfx anims and skills each having 2-5 skills each but i saw a solo dev making a tower defence and being able to easily keep up updates as long as you dont set your quality too high and your able to consistantly make updates instead of struggling
and learning blender for roblox is very beneficial as you can make low and high poly models but without a textuing software i would go medium to low poly, and you can create mesh vfx and animations too and also maps too i guess
