How to market your game?

Hey I’m DevFoll and I have no idea how ima supposed to market my game, it’s called size legends and got 700-2k+ active. I’ve troubled with marketing my game beacuse I don’t know how I’m trying to market it trough YouTubers.

Don’t contact YouTubers. They cost way more than normal ads.
Sponsor your game for tablets and make some ads for PCs.
They’ll make you the most profit.
Phone players are only good for fundamental playerbase building which you don’t need anymore :wink:

You could either use the Roblox Advertisement System (which I dont recommend), or any Social Media platform. Of course, not everyone is famous on Social Media, but this is your chance and motive to at least try.

TWITTER

You could use Twitter, and post features about your game, include photos, and stuff like that, as well as the link to the game ofc. As long as you use the right tags, eventually people will start joining your game (not 100% guaranteed tho).

YOUTUBE

  1. Paying YouTubers to play your game will probably cost you a lot, even tho there is a 50% chance they give you feedback on your game, there is also 20% chance they roast it and only point out bad things about it, while there is also a 30% chance no one watches the video, meaning you paid them so much for nothing.
  2. Another way is to make the YouTube videos yourself, which is for free

DISCORD

You dont need to be famous on Discord to advertise your game there. You can suggest it to friends (if you have any), post it in advertisement Servers, or something.

I got the robux either way. But the thing is the only thing that has grown my game is trough youtubers i gained 1.7k active by some brazilian youtubers playing my game.

Another underrated way to market your game is to make YouTuber Friends to play the game with you

so they can make a video with the title “Omg I played with the owner of the game” or "Owner gave (Some OP items)"

Quite absurd.
Currently, 10K Robux would get you 832690 impressions. With a decent CTR of 0.6%, and that would bring you 4996 clicks. Each click would cost you 2 robux per click.
2 Robux a click, how much is that in USD? 0.007 USD.
Now, tell me where can you attract a player to your game for 0.007 USD while having no influence of yourself?

YouTubers are still not as cheap and efficient as normal sponsorships and ads.
Your final goal is to be featured by the algorithm, and the fastest way is through normal Roblox marketing, and not other social media.
But as you’re rich, anything would work for you.

I disagree with you, roblox advertisements is really weak and cost a lot. I spent around 150k and got 94m impressions and 15k clicks I sponsored the game as the roblox advertisements hasn’t really has any luck with me

If you didn’t manage to get 0.6% CTR, it means the ad designs are probably quite bad.


From calulations, 150K bid with a result of 15K clicks means your CTR was around 0.12%. Oof! Even my worst ads had 0.3%, maybe next time hire a better GFX artist and do some more testing.

There are some great statistics indeed, but it takes a lot of work. This could be a great benefit for the Game, but these statistics are quite hard to get.
I just assumed they were going for the cheapest way, but if not, even if they had 10K Robux under their Account, they would probably either spend 30% or more on paying an Artist or a GFX Artist to make the Advertisement Image. If they make it themselves, which I think will take a lot of effort, plus I dont think they have much experience so it might be low quality (conclusion made from the fact they arent in the Artist Group, I apologize if I’m wrong).
So, pretty much, even tho these statistics are amazing, it will take a lot of effort and time to be earned, (which ofc is quite normal since there is no success without hard work and patience) especially in the situation I described on the text above. If it wasnt for all that, then Roblox Advertisement would benefit quite more than enough.

I don’t use ads, i use sponsors.

Alr i tried ads once


It got me a 0.36% ctr
And this icon got me 0.3 ctr aswell on sponsors it got me around 200 active for 5k robux.

did you sponsor on PC or mobile exclusively? or both? cause 200 for 5k is a pretty good rate.

Hitting 0.6% CTR would not be that easy, I’ve tried advertisements multiple times, and my range was always 0.3%~1.2%

As far as I know, a fancy GFX, or a casual meme, you wouldn’t really know which one would do better.

Hiring artists are great, and if you’re interested, there’s amazing ones on Fiverr who would do it for 5~10 USD. Commercial Arts are seriously something quite deep, it’s hard to make it not just appealing to the owner, but also attractive to the viewers.

Could be easier to use
As people can also see the game name, like ratio and concurrent.
