How to "Mask Out" part of a UI

Hello!
I am trying to make a little effect where there’s a scrolling checkboard UI in the background a small GUI (not fullscreen), but I don’t know how to mask out the top part without using a new GUI (which i can’t have.)

Does anyone know if this is possible and how I can go about it?

(It should only be contained within the black/dark)

I also can’t make the size fit because it wont loop properly!

Have you tried using ClipDescendents?
