How to negate parts without grouping them?

hey people,
i randomly got bored and i am trying to make destructible walls. i made a wall that can break into brick shaped cubes, but i really want to make it so they are pieces of the wall that are more jagged and realistic. so i spent some time thinking about it and then i thought of solid modelling. so i made some parts where the cracks would be in the wall and then i tried to negate and then union and well, it separated the parts but the problem is they are unionised, aka they are grouped which means i cant really separate them into different parts so they cant separate upon being shot. if i test it they dont break into the pieces like the other wall. is there something obvious i am missing or should i use a different method?
any thoughts?
here is what it looks like. what i want is the pieces to separate the wall into individual parts

why has no one seen this reeee

You could just make one eigth of the square (one wedge) and then duplicate it and place them together to form a square, however I would use roblox native wedge Part for that because they are better for performance. If you union stuff together they directly become “grouped” as one Union part
