You could put non-transparent walls just inside the terrain, although using shift lock you could still look through them so I would recommend putting them slightly further inside the terrain
I hadn’t thought about that… maybe a solution but knowing that later there will be other galleries on the sides it might be a little complicated…

yes it is I don’t think that’s what solves the problem.
Now, I haven’t tried this with your exact setup, but perhaps in blender you could export the terrain as a .obj file, select the well in edit mode, and then solidify the edges to give it thickness such that they could not see through it? Or, create a duplicate of the outside of the well and then marginally scale it up, and the issue should not be present? Posing these as questions because I’m not 100% certain if these would work for this given scenario.
