How to prevent shift-locking through walls?

Hello, I was wondering how to prevent shift-locking through walls. There were previous discussions about it, but the only result was either disabling shift-locking or non-working code. Is there any trick or do I have to remake shift-lock in its entirety?

There are scripts, available which removes shift-lock and adds a custom shift-lock and the camera pushes back if the player gets close to a wall with their camera. I don’t have any idea where to find this, instead I suggest making a custom shift-lock which is above the players head if you can’t find it.

Nah, the whole walls seem transparent if you do that.
Maybe if you make the wall like many layers, each 1 stud thick, it’ll work.

No? People like myself use shift lock, and just removing first person isn’t a solution. This feels more like a bandage patch than anything else.

This is a good idea, but it wont work because some walls are very thin, and I don’t want to mess around with the builds of others.

I’ll try this, thanks for the help! I’ll mark it as the solution so others can see it.

That wouldn’t work instead you’d need to make

  1. The walls double edged (so the inside has an edge as well when you look in it)
  2. A smaller wall inside a bigger wall.
