It’s the mesh(s) he’s stolen, not the actual model - this won’t work as you can’t upload a mesh with a script sadly.
Sadly there is not a way to fix this kind of stuff, what you could do though is break the bus if they try to steal it, you would have a local script with the controls in it and then a server side script that handles the controls on the bus. This would break the controls to the bus (although they could just rescript it).
Again, sadly models or parts or meshes are not safe unless they are in server storage because the models can be taken locally from the clients computer.
(Also any local scripts checking for exploits doesn’t work because they can just disable them)
well what if you made the watermark INSIDE the mesh, not out of parts but like inside of a mesh containing vital parts of the vehicle. the watermark would be like Hanwick city as letters popping out of the roof or side of the bus.
But should we list out the details in the email and just link the email in the support link?
Do we not list details in the support link?
Yep but the exploiters can delete them at ease. That would make it totally pointless
no; if they try deleting the watermark it would end up deleting more vital points of the bus; did you read what i said?
Well then they could just remake the mesh or cover the watermark up
It would help a bit, but it is the most ideal that Roblox devs come and take a look at the situation
how are you going to cover up extruding letters from the roof of a bus? and i don’t think most people with exploits will know how to use blender to remove the letters, they’d even be infused as one in blender… (only edit mode could solve this)
Well you could just cover them up with parts
Also, as far as I know, I’ve seen stolen assets in other games WITH the watermark. They simply do not care about it
List the details in both and provide links to evidence as I described.

The email to copyright_agent@roblox.com is to notify them of infringement under DMCA, so you need to include all of the details I mentioned and attach any evidence that you have relating to the infringement. Mention the blackmailing here as proof of the theft and subsequent infringement. It’s very important that you send it to this exact address as it’s listed in the ToS as to who to contact if you want to file a DMCA, and this is that address. You need to ensure that you keep emotions clear of this email - this is essentially a legal letter. You need to write it professionally and stick to the facts, it has to remain objective. Showing the copyright team the evidence that it’s your asset, that he’s stolen it, and giving them a timeline of events will be enough for the content on his account to be removed. Please do your best to be clear and concise.

The message to support only needs to mention that you have notified them that you’re requesting deletion of the content under DMCA (so that they don’t open another ticket). The support message is so that you can report his illegal blackmailing and the infringement, which is also against ToS but I would imagine the copyright team will deal with that. This part is for disciplinary action as a result of his behaviour, other than the actions that the copyright team would take.
Please ensure that you file the DMCA first and then send the support message.
It would help a bit, but it is the most ideal that Roblox devs come and take a look at the situation
This won’t happen, the developers don’t and shouldn’t deal with copyright infringement - it’s a legal matter that will and should be dealt with by their legal department, hence the copyright_agent@roblox.com adress.
P.S. To confirm: this is an asset you’ve created yourself in some modelling program, and not an asset you’ve ripped from some store online, right?? If it’s the latter, just send the seller an email explaining you used your license of the product, but someone’s now stolen it from your game and using it without a license. The seller will then be able to file a DMCA themselves. You can’t submit a DMCA if you’re not the IP owner.
Does this mean models in workspace aren’t safe?
As far as I’m aware, yes. Anything that is in the workspace is replicated to the client, and therefore can be stolen through various means.
Yes, all models, decals, meshes, and anything that is replicated to the client can be taken from the game, and really, there is no way to stop that without having a blank game
You can grab a game models through Dex Explorer, a progam launched by Synapse that access the game explorer. U can download all models into your folders and use them in your game. Fortunately, they can’t steal any server scripts, only models.
