How to record a players screen and play it inside roblox

  1. What do you want to achieve?
    I need a recording system like the one in the game Action!, and be able to record a players roblox screen and play the video later on.

  2. What is the issue?
    I have absolutely no idea how to record frames.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far?
    I’ve tried searching but the only thing that popped up was screen recording for YouTube videos.

Even a plugin would be great. I’m trying to make a film game where you can male your own film, but I need the recording system beforehand.

You could probably do this by saving the player’s camera cframe every render step and store it somewhere so you can later on play it.

I’m not sure this would work but there’s a good chance it will.

Use cutscenes. Capture points of where the player wants to record and then tween between them. There’s also many modules.

That is a good ida, but unfortunately CFrame doesn’t record animations nor text and speech.
