I took the R6 limbs, torso and head and decided to make them meshparts to have a perfectionist’s hitbox. I could just weld them to the actual limbs and ignore, but it would be better if I was able to replace the bodyparts entirely. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this, because R&D process with the humanoid is no fun.
I also haven’t made a custom character for over four years. I checked out How To Make A Custom Character Loader - #7 by PeZsmistic and this seems to be my standby, though I am unsure about limb replacement, especially head and torso. My solutions are proposed below:
Option A: I switch the limbs after the normal character loads. How about those hats? Sounds? And they all load asynchronously, sometimes never when the site has issues.
Option B: I have a custom meshpart character that I use as the base, and then transpose the customization of the default served up R6 onto the custom base. That sounds like more work, but less issues seem likely to arise.
There’s a lot of options and experimentation, and I just don’t have the time for it anymore.
