How to revert the roblox studio interface!

How to Revert the New Roblox Studio UI to the Old One

Hello everyone!

Today I’ll show you how to revert the new Roblox Studio UI back to the classic old one that we all love.

Step 1: Open Roblox Studio

  • Launch Roblox Studio and wait for it to fully load.

Step 2: Go to Beta Features

  • Click on the “File” menu in the top-left corner.
  • Select “Beta Features” from the dropdown list.

Step 3: Find the settings

once your in beta features disable the following settings
“Next Gen Explorer” and disable it!
“Next Gen Studio Preview” and disable it!

Then just restart studio and you got old studio UI back :D!

Amazing tutorial
Gets to the point

I hope the new UI gets reverted and Roblox listens to us (which is VERY unlikely).

If everyone gets used to it now, it’ll be less jarring later when it’s turned on completely

They’re already working on addressing a lot of the issues people are having with it before it’s fully released, but you should speak your mind on the announcement thread to make everything more pleasant when they fully enable it.

It’s a completely different framework, they cannot keep the option to turn it off forever because it would be a very significant engineering cost to maintain two completely separate UIs

Yeah, I was thinking to myself, “It’s either ‘get used to it now’ or ‘get used to it in July’” and I pretty-much have to get used to it now for my own good. It’s one of those situations where, in order to achieve the best outcome for yourself, you have to bring yourself to do something you don’t necessarily want to do.

Everything cant look the same forever. Things change.

true, you just need to get used to the new stuff.

the UI currently is absolute slop
Unoptimized, full of bugs

We may adapt, but only when it is in an usable state and not rushed

Yk UI is kinda bad when people make tutorials to get rid of it :skull:
Me personally experience so many bugs with it

thank you so much!! The new ui was so blocky and clogged together for no reason

How does this need a whole tutorial?

It’s so disorienting dude, more useless roblox interface changes for no reasons. What is roblox even trying to do at this point? What are their motives for this unasked UI change? generally all UI changes in general.

Honestly thank you because as soon as I opened studio this morning, I immediately went to the google search because it just looks way too “spaced out” idk how to explain it.

a lot of people don’t like the new ui.

I kept telling people back in 2023, “I do NOT like this UI and I don’t want to have to get used to it”, and they were basically saying “Too bad, you’re going to take it and LIKE IT!”, and now I feel like those same people might be eating their words now.

I know, that was not the point.

Exact issue i have with it. And i feel that if they reduce the area it takes up, make it easier to work with and adjust to preference, and make it way more intuative. I might have a chance at getting used to it and being fairly content considering what it could be if these changes are not made.

I also think it may be a little oversimplified as with everything in modern ui design and i would rather it more closely resemble it’s previous state in terms of detail and simplification.

It’s just that everything is in a different place or where you don’t expect it. You cannot expect a developer who has learned the engine one way to learn it in a completely different way in just one day.
