How to rotate object while keeping a point at a fixed position

Soon I’ll be scripting some gun models when I ran across this problem trying to rotate this G33 sight

I want the “Joint” to stay at that position no matter how I rotate it

Though this ends up happening

And this is what I am trying to get

Yeah, you’re just going to use the Pivot Point feature.

It would help if we knew how you were rotating it.
CFraming?
Constraints?
Animation?
Please post the script you use and a picture of the Explorer window so we can see how the gun and sight are put together.

U could hinges and physical mode for that or pivot position
