How to use: Waveform

Waveform is my little project to create a sort of extended sequencer in Roblox. My future plans are to offer a sequencer, as well as a track editor to layer sequences together and a profile editor to modify volume/pitch envelopes as well as filters. Currently, as of versions 0.1.x, only the sequencer exists and is in a relatively basic format. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Start by pressing the plus button at the top right a few times. You can enter the default note interval by entering in a number in one of the boxes to the left, either seconds or BPM. The interval for each note can be changed later by entering in a new value at the top and pressing the check mark button to apply it.
  2. Once a few columns have been added, begin placing notes by clicking anywhere on the grid. This will cause tones to play when the tracker hits the note. Frequency is dependent on how high up on the grid your note is.
  3. To modify settings for that column, see the top. You’ll be able to change the interval (as mentioned above). As well as this, you can mute the column with the M button, and delete the column with the D button (but be careful with this - there is no confirmation system or undo/insert system yet). The P button changes the column to pulse mode, which just means it will fade instead of being a steady tone the entire length of the note.

Feel free to mess around with it, but I suggest you don’t go too far into it because there is currently no system of saving or inserting into the sequence. This means if you mess up anywhere you may need to make some major modifications to fix it.
