How would I connect these parts?

Here is a train I’ve been working on:

The red part welds to every part of the train so it all moves as one.
The blue parts are connected to the chassis that allows the train to move along the track.
The following needs to be achieved:

  • The blue parts must be connected to the red part;
  • The red part must remain at the same Z orientation as the other 2 parts (this can be set using a script if necessary as this will remain constant);
  • The distance between the red and blue parts should remain equal apart from when the train moves around curves, in which case the train should be able to move around the curve without losing speed. (And without the train bouncing back)

I have tried loads of different constraints but I cannot figure out how to fix.
Any help is appreciated!

My best solution is using 2 parts instead of 1 and connecting them with hingeconstraints.
