How Would I Create a Global Map With Local Events?

I am creating a game in which the players have to progress to get to the final boss. I am trying to make it so that the players can see each other, but will each have local events, such a boss fights. For example, if you are walking with your friend down a path, and he already beat a path-blocking boss, he can continue walking and not see the boss, but you see the boss and have to defeat him before you can proceed. Is there a way I can create this or should I just come up with a different method?

I don’t really know what you mean, but from what i have read, you should use Local Scripts.
