Hey, I was looking through some old meshes when I got curious, where are the meshes stored at? I’ve checked the files yet I haven’t found it. The files look like this, rbxasset://fonts/hammer.mesh yet I can’t find them in my files.
Same goes with old textures. Here’s the texture that goes along with the mesh. rbxasset://textures/hammertex128.png
I’ve noticed that you can actually see the old meshes and textures in very old Roblox clients files from 2007 up to late 2009.
In current Roblox Studio, when I created a part with SpecialMesh inside, then pasted the mesh and texture command you said, it worked.
I’m guessing that maybe these old meshes and textures are still in Roblox game files, but hidden or invisible.
Because this has been bumped, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to answer OP’s question.
First, right-click on the Roblox Studio shortcut on your desktop and click “Open file location”, or type “%localappdata%/Roblox/Versions” and look for the folder with an exe called “RobloxStudioBeta”.
Then, go to the “content” folder. If the file still exists in current-day Roblox, you can just follow the file path from there (ex; go to the textures folder and look for “hammertex128”, but I don’t think it exists anymore).
If it doesn’t exist, then how does it still work?
why are you guys replying to this? i’ve already found out how
ThEn WhY yOu DiDnT sAid ThAt EaRlIeR, hUh?!

Dude, old Roblox stuff is interesting, but unfortunetly difficult to find these days, so if you have found out the solution already, then why you didn’t share it yet?
