How would I go about building my portfolio?

  1. What do you want to achieve? I would like to know where I should go to start up a design portfolio!

  2. What is the issue? There isn’t much documentation on the portfolio creation process.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? I attempted to scrounge around on the forum, but didn’t find much in terms of pointers.

Basically, I’d like to build up my 3D creation portfolio and slowly add to it over time. I’m not entirely sure how to go about doing that, or where to look.

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated!

A portfolio can be anywhere honestly. Just collect a good variation of high quality work and place it in one spot like a document or a website.

Well you want to create a portfolio, where do you start?

Broadcast your work on multiple platforms if possible. There are 2 things you need to consider:
1. How much time and effort is put into your work
2. The timespan in which you can post new work

Make sure you balance these both out.

Mostly it takes time to generate a good portfolio so you may not see quick progress in getting customers.

Agreeing with what’s been said here already, just try and showcase your existing work in the most presentable, yet still realistic, manner possible. As you create more work to showcase, add it to your portfolio in a meaningful and organized fashion. Feel free to express your personality and be creative in doing so; your portfolio is an expression of you and your own personal traits, so let it shine!

On another note, if you are still in need of some basic guidelines, I would also suggest viewing existing portfolios that you can draw inspiration from and form a general idea for the layout of your own.

Hope this helps you friend, and I hope you get lots of good business too!
