Hello Developers,

Haha, thank you. And if it’s not related where should it go?
No not your post, my comment is what I was talking about.
Do you mean building, or graphics designing?
I was talking about graphics, i’m just testing with build as of now.
oh ok, maybe this kind of graphic, of this color. if you going for a 90’s look. best of luck on the build!
Yes but my question is how would I do that?
Maybe add a filter some how with scripts, or something in the properties of light
I already added a blur and I can’t script so I could have quite a bit of issues here…
I think you just will have to make the colors like how you want them, and add blur.
I tried to pull off this effect just by adding two close colored blocks and making them transparent this made it orangeish, what color do you reckon would fit?
Yeah, I think that would work perfect especially since it is 2d.
Without
With only 1 transparent block
With 2 transparent blocks
I like the one with 2 trans blocks. It seems it fits more with the theme.
I can choose any color to go with it but I am not sure what color is most 1980’s I tried to make black and white but that didn’t work.
Older game consoles softened the image and it wasn’t noticed on CRTs but since ROBLOX isn’t really ran on CRTs soften the sprites and assets used since its noticeable on flat screens. Use compatibility for lighting since its shadows aren’t as sharp and it has less neon affect if it still uses 3D bricks but with a 2D camera. For transparent objects make gaps without the object and gaps with it because game devs used flaws in composite to make transparency like in this image
I know this is pretty old but, I think you would be able to use color correction, and it would work.
Honestly, the Sepia-like color filter doesn’t scream a 90s TV look for me at all. If anything, it looks like something much older.
For me, 80s and 90s TV looks need to have effects that symbolize the limitations of computers and TVs at the time. Colors weren’t as vibrant and were rather a little washed out. The visual clarity also wasn’t the best, as some things used to look slightly fuzzy. You could also add filters that mimic refresh rates, slight static, etc.
This may require a lot of tweaking with the lighting. I say to stick to Compatibility.
Hey, just FYI, cup head is based on 1930s cartoons, not 1980s.
