How would I go about making a calm game?

My goal is to make a relaxing roblox game, as I realize that those are very few and far.

Any good ideas? I notice that a lot of the calm games aren’t super engaging, so if you guys have any ideas let me know.

You could make a showcase game of a build you made. The build would be a huge town, city, or any type of environment. Then you can add whatever you want, such as sound effects, VFX, and other things to make it more interactive and realistic.

haha here is the issue . . . I can’t really build. I’m not super good at it.

And anyways, people usually aren’t super engaged.

This is a calm game, and there’s players.

This event was all about being calm. It’s over now, but there is still 330 players!

i would test out the first one, but I have to join that group and I would rather not be targetted.

The second looks nice! It’s a little too meditation based to be fun
I think something about finding items or something like that. A search.

Any other suggestions? I almost considered a puzzle/fun game where you are a toy, that would be fun

There’s also this game:

Very calming and fun game to play. Maybe you could use these games as examples of what a calm game is?

These are all very nice.

I’m looking for new ideas though; I’ve looked at some steam games and found some good examples.

I just don’t know what to make fully. I thought of a toy game, but that’s probably been made tons of times.

There’s lots of games about scenery and stuff, but the game needs a goal.

You could try making an exploration game. I find games like minecraft very calming to play and are still engaging

I’m thinking like a game that’s like a platformer/exploration game where you learn about a broken family.

I think it might be interesting to try and make a horror storyline with a calm aesthetic.

Hey! Cool to see that you want to make a relaxing game I love to play those and also love to have some activities to do while playing them, so I suggest:

  • Add Lo-fi music to keep it chill and calm.
  • Add a beautiful chill area (Stylized maybe or just something else that gives a warm feeling)
  • Add couches/things to interact with or chill with to stimulate role-playing inside your area.
  • Add Activities such as puzzles (Tic TAC toe, pool tables, air hockey, collectible hunts.) that players can do.
  • Add cute things such as animals, maybe animated or not? But cute always works in these types of games.
