How would I kick start a multiplayer game?

I’ve recently published a game, and have spent around 1.8k robux on both sponsors and ads. However, since my game is only playable when more than one person is in the server, and since my game is brand-new and has no players, the people that click on my ad will have no one to play with, and will leave straight away.

My question is, how would I effectively market a multiplayer game such that multiple people will stay in it at a time?

I’ve asked a friend, and he said I should take down my game, build up hype and a community, then relaunch it. Is this good advice?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, however another thing you could do is be in the game yourself and give them a chance to play. Or, hire two-three people to play it with people during the ad’s runtime.

Do you know how much that would cost?

you need to build a community for your game, you should have done this after making your prototype but now is never too late to start

Very little. You could also just ask a favor from your friends to do it.

How would I build a community? Should I focus on posting on twitter, or should I try adverting on other discord server?

Advertising here is good and so is anything where you have a large influence on. Whether that be your friends or social media only you know

I don’t really have much influence on any social media. I guess I should start gaining a reputation on twitter then.

Don’t bother with Twitter man just focus your outreach on your target demographic, which i really don’t think is people making fun of the us president
