How would someone go about making 3D UI element like this? It LOOKS like a viewport but i am not even sure if it is one! Namely the higher quality of than what would be expected of a viewport?
Any help would be appreciated, or if it a viewport, any tips for viewports would be awesome.
Can you give the source of where this is from? Since right now it seems like they customized the position of the camera to a different location away from the player’s view. (Also amazing clothed modeling)
After a quick playtest and also getting destroyed in a match . I believe it’s a viewport being used due to how light reflects off of the surfaces, with quality wise you can adjust some of the viewport’s properties such as Ambient, Light Color, Light Direction, etc to try and match the game’s lighting.
Here’s an example of me adjusting some values to match the game’s default lighting:
With how other lighting goes they do include some use of Blur Effect to make the viewport pop out more and also seems to be some kind of edge shadow outline around the character. With other things I’m not too sure about.
I’m hoping it’s not some kind of replicated model parented to the client side that’s perfect aligned with the camera.
