Hi. So I recently have been trying to animate an idle animation that uses a gun. I was curious how I would make this animation work. I have it all rigged and I have motor6ds for the bolt, mag, etc. I’m just wondering, when I animate these parts on the weapon, how would I make it work in game? For example: Imagine I hit R and the gun is reloading, how would I make a reload animation work correctly and pull the mag out, as well as putting a new one in? Any help is appreciated!
You can use moon animator
If your looking for something this not your type just wait for another person
Yes, but I’m specifically wondering how to use that moon animator file in an actual scenario in-game.
I dont think if that is possible but just stick around
It 100% is, phantom forces and plenty other games do that.
If it is a model (Which it probably is), all you need to do is add a Animation Controller to the model and a Animator as a child to the Animation Controller. For some reason I find it takes a minute to apply but that should work.
Yeah, it would be a character, there’s already an animator in the humanoid though. I’m mainly wondering how I’d go about having the gun work with the animation (welding, mag release, etc)
So you have all the stuff, are you not able to animate it or are you wondering how you would use a script to play the animations?
The second part. I know how to play animations it’s just. Idk about the part where they interact with a gun model.
Is this a tool or a viewmodel?
It’s a tool, but I made it a model so that it would work with moon animator.
You’re gonna wanna do what I explained in this post: Animating handle of a tool does not work - #5 by babyarmaangamer
