My fps game involves shooting waves of zombies which chase you around the map. Currently they do not collide with each other at all, but this makes them go inside one another and become a weird amalgamation of body parts , it also makes it seem like their damage has been increased, since they all attack the player at the same time due to their positions. I want to fix this by making it so the zombies can collide with each other, but when I do that, they tend to climb one another which looks weird. My zombie AI is designed to climb up ladders so I can’t just completely disable climbing. Any help would be appreciated.

You could see using a ray if the zombie is behind another zombie and then disable climbing and jumping but if that’s not true then enable climbing and jumping.
Orrr you can just use some calculations to try and distance the zombies from each other.
