How would I make something like this?

I am planning to make a really eye catching thumbnail for my game. And I think this art style is very cool and would fit well for it

So then the question is how would I achieve this:

To achieve this, you’ll need animation plugins. I’d recommend “Moon Animator 2”, it’s good for animating.

I’m trying to create an image not an animation

You can make the character’s idle in studio or blender, and a green part behind it for background, and then import it in photoshop, etc.

Yeah that’s not hard i suppose but I don’t know how to do the “photoshop “ part. In fact I don’t even have photoshop only photopea. And also the whole main question is how would I achieve the photoshop part.

Sorry if that wasn’t implied

It’s actually quite easy, you can search on youtube for tutorials!

I don’t know what the style is even called here :sob: I’m completely clueless when it comes to this. That’s why I’m here!

get a picture of the character doing whatever pose, take a picture of it on a greenscreen, draw the character outlines in the background colour, fill the rest in with the darker colour, draw on bullets, shells, etc. that weren’t there initially

You could draw this by hand, using a drawing app and stylus on an ipad/ tablet would be best.

What they probably did was create a model in blender and texture it completely black, and then add some red on the mesh’s edges.

The effects, like the gunshots, are proably added in photoshop

This resource looks pretty good in terms of creating the edge effect. You could always search google for “color mesh edges blender”

So I basically have to draw on top in essence?

What do you recommend for drawing software to for drawing on top

The image art style seems to be vector art. For a more comic book or cartoon-like feel, I recommend hand-drawing it with base colors and thick, bold outlines.

My guess is they drew it manually using a posed rig as reference.

Magma Studio is an online website that does that pretty well. Free, and pretty simple.
The outlines of the limbs of the characters look manually handdrawn with a brush, though the bullets are definitely vector.
