How would I make this seem more realistic?

I’m trying to make some GFX for my UI and some billboards, and I want there to be pictures of soldiers on them but it looks weird without shadows. So I’m wondering, how would I make shadows for a TRANSPARENT background?

Can anyone help me with this?

This is the render I have and am trying to edit:

From the way you worded it I’m a bit confused.
Shadows for a transparent background? Like, do you mean shadows for the character and a transparent background? Please clarify

If you mean a transparent background, go hereimage
click film, and then press transparent.

Have you tried a HDRI? I also believe if you use sun light you can click cast shadows off.

Work on the lighting and camera angle, you can add possibly a sunray overlay, crank up the specular, or tilt the camera to a sort of “movie” angle and make it curved. Try 512x512 camera dimensions and put a HDRI in.

try working with nodes, add more lighting & create highlights effects on the character’s face. it always depends on the scene the character is to be included in, but generally lighting helps a lot.
