As you see from the above, there is the bended circles. How in the world do you make that?? I haven’t found one tutorial about this at all. anywhere.
I really need to make this in blender.
Thanks!
Overlapping Circles maybe? I honestly don’t know but try overlapping them.
Honestly speaking, the only way I personally would know how to make that is by going into Blender, adding a cylinder, then adding a circle and duplicating it around the cylinder then adding a shrink wrap modifier. Though with Roblox’s new mesh deformation I believe you can now do it inside of Roblox, so feel free to give that a try too.
gotcha. thanks! I’ll try it out. Can you explain a bit more about how I would do it with mesh deformation though?
Hm, I don’t think overlapping solves the case for how it bends… But thanks anyways!
Not quite sure. I haven’t had the time to experiment with the new feature. Though without a doubt in my mind there are definitely posts and tutorials on how to get it working.
Hello there,
You can use Blender to create such a shape. There is also the option to make such an object in the Roblox studio. For example, create a cylinder, size it, and embroider the desired pattern with pieces. Set it to “negative” in the “Pattern” option (the part will appear in red)
Then select all the pieces and “Union” next to the “negative” option and it’s ready!
Good luck!
@dikyar9
you can make this in studio, it might seem hard but it uses basic concepts with unioning that you can apply in many places
first start off with a cylinder
then we add a negated cylinder to make the original cylinder look like a ring now
then select both of then and union it by right clicking and pressing union or pressing ctrl-shift-g
this is what it looks like after we unioned it
we add another cylinder to create a cylinder shape in the ring, so repeat the process with how we made the first ring by unioning the negated cylinder to the black cylinder to create a ring
now, at this point if you negate the black cylinder and union it with the white one, we will just create a hole. To combat this we need to introduce a square bigger than the cylinder and union it with the negated black cylinder
then union the white square with the cylinder to create an imprint of a cylinder
this is the imprint of the cylinder in here. we negate the square and union it with the ring we created earlier
this is what it looks like negated
finished product
now that you have that finished, duplicate and rotate the finished product to complete the design
