For the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing insane FPS drops. Not like 120fps to 48fps, i’m typically getting below 1fps. These fps drops often show high ping of 5000ms+, very high CPU and GPU usage (which both typically are very low), and 100% CPU usage on Task Manager.
This doesn’t just happen in games, it even happens on the home screen. My PC is practically unusable during the drops.
I have upgraded my graphics drivers, fully reinstalled ROBLOX, tried many things such as efficiency mode on ROBLOX, Bloxstrap, yet the problem persists.
This is incredibly frustrating, especially the timing, where I play fast-paced games which require me to have a good FPS in order to fight enemies. This is significantly deteriorating my experience on the platform.
This also renders my whole windows operating system unusable until the drop has finished (typically lasts ~15-30s, maybe every 2-3mins?), so I can’t even ctrl+alt+del, alt+f4 or anything.
Anyone else had a similar issue? I’ll try to record it next time on a handheld device as i highly doubt that the recording software will even pick up exactly how bad the fps drops are.
Another issue is while playing ROBLOX, sometimes my wifi just cuts out, and I have to manually disconnect and reconnect for it to work. But I doubt that has any effect on the main issue.

Note: My Laptop is always plugged in. I use a second monitor @ 4k 60fps. Never had this issue for months up until around start of January.
