So, I was recently having a discussion with Blobmista4(A very well known clothing maker) and he bought up the topic of humanoid asset rendering issues. The main issue he has is the quality reduction within Humanoids - as he is a clothing maker and has spent over 20 hours on some shirts in the past, you can all see why this is such a large issue to him.
I’m unsure wether to truly consider this a bug - However I am unsure of where-else this could be posted.
Now then, with Humanoids all assets within the Character are ‘grouped’ together into a single asset. The issue when a Humanoid is doing this, is that the images are compressed into a smaller size and as a result quality is lost.
As you’re able to see in this example below - The Humanoid is a much lower quality than the model to the left of it. To confirm, however, the model next to it is not a screenshot being pasted on top - instead it is decals being placed upon parts.
Below is another example - Instead using hats. The one on the left, is without a Humanoid - However as soon as a Humanoid is added, quality is lost.
Therefore, what I am trying to say is - will this quality reduction ever be resolved? Is it an intended feature, and if so - why? Considering some players, such as blobmista4 spend hours creating their shirts+pants - it really is such a shame to see this much quality lost when rendered within a Humanoid.
Edit: Blobmista4 has put up a comparison place to show the large quality difference - http://www.roblox.com/Rendering-comparisons-place?id=172007829 - Ignore the top of the arms/torso on the non-Humanoid one.
Edit 2: Blobmista4 actually made a post about this on the ROBLOX Forums to see what other ROBLOX users had to say. Not soon after - the post was deleted. I had seen the original post, and saw nothing truly wrong with it. Shocking, really.
