Hunter's Axe

Hi All!

I few days ago I posted some pictures of my first EVER blender model, which can be found here, and I wanted to tackle 3D modelling by its horns and create something more advanced and with more triangles.

So… here is my Second ever blender model, and I think it’s pretty awesome. I present to you… The Hunter’s Axe:

Don’t mind the little details around the bottom and top of the handle part, I’m currently working on sculpting and texturing those parts to create more dimension.

ANY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED!!

Best wishes,
Brave

I’ve moved this to Cool Creations and fixed the title. Cool Creations is the place to post when looking for feedback.

Looks like a great start! One thing you should consider - especially for rounded objects - is to use Smooth Shading to your advantage. Trying making your next model with it - you’ll be surprised how good it’ll look while still being low in polygons!

Here’s a good example of flat shading vs smooth shading on a cylinder with a few bends in it like the axe’s handle. The left side has 116 tris each, the right 56 tris. With smooth shading, the right one looks the same as the left one, but with less than half the triangles!

Here’s proof too

Keep up the good work!
