The mechanics will be similar as age of empires but it’ll be more realistic in terms of damage instead of hitpoints. A destroyed building will be based on which parts are loose and if there are more loose parts than rigid parts the building is destroyed.
The map will be terrain generated. Random generated terrain.
The troop will use pathfinding with some raycasting for guiding and walking. You click on a map and the troops will walk to where you clicked.
Troops can be tanks and artillery. There will be lots of AI and troops will communicate with each other to coordinate attacks. You give the orders to high ranking officers and the officers will determine which troops to send to battle based on info obtained by your own army’s recon forces. There will be lots of communication. Your goal as a commander is to deploy the battalions in key areas to destroy the enemy HQ
