I am experiencing lag spikes when my character occasionally loads

I am having issues with Roblox where I have HUGE lag spikes when my character is loaded. I began having this issue after reinstalling Roblox because of the unexpected client behavior, and I have been recently having lag spikes from nothing other than respawning. I have not experienced lag spikes in a while and my laptop is a GTX 1650 so it runs smoothly with no problem. Though when I respawn it starts having a seizure and freezes for just 10 seconds or less. Not only do I lag when dying but when the game “loads my character” ( :LoadCharacter type of thing). I’ll have a video below.

I have to note that my brother is also having this issue and he reinstalled windows 11 because of the unexpected client behavior, I just reinstalled Roblox. Though I have no idea if any of you have been also experiencing this before I need to know how to fix this because it is stressing me out as I can’t respawn quickly when I get killed in a game. This happens in every game that loads my character so that’s why I believe that this is a Roblox application bug.

Can you use MicroProfiler to see what is exactly happening during those huge frame spikes?

ok I put another one.

Pause the profiler, and turn it to detailed mode. Then you can zoom into the frame of the spike and see everything contributing to it.

I suggest reading the documentation on how to use the MicroProfiler.

Have you managed to fix this? I’ve been getting the exact same thing in my game and other roblox games. Sometimes I’m on 60 fps consistently until I respawn when it drops to like 9 and then goes back to normal exactly as described in the video posted by the OP.

Yes, it was voice chat. Voice chat was causing huge lag spikes since I turned it on. For some reason I never figured out why. But I turned off voice chat and camera, and the lag spike stopped.

For all those who experience this issue I can confirm that the problem is voice chat, as soon as I turned it off the lag spikes did indeed stop.
