so i built a kinda dojo japanse building it took 4 hours longer than it should but i neeed some feedback [btw not going into a game]

I think you should learn to model, and you’ll build like a pro!
It’s ideal, but I suggest adding Japanese banners with letters around the dojo, and windows. Also, you could add a trailing path!
its a good build for a beginner, but you should try constantly looking at images of your build you are trying to make for a very accurate building, because it doesnt really make me think of dojo except the things coming out from the front and back
For taking for hours its very simple and its additionally very blocky, if there is an inside could we possibly optically discern it?
I think its a decent start, but from what I’m looking at its a great base to start adding more details onto, I’d recommend looking through different building formats for Dojo’s and see what details you can add to the structure, even tiny details like an overhanging roof at the end of it, windows, smoother curves. What I can directly say is definitely mess with the roofs, they can really be flushed out because there’s enough canvas to definitely start putting more detail in and around it. Here’s what I can say as criticism, it feels old as of something out of 2016, It’s too blocky in my opinion and definitely can be smoother, some parts seem too large or too small at times, especially the wall consistency as it looks more paper-thin than realistic.

sorry there isnt an inside i did this in roblox studio tbh i probably can do better now

Nothing is too complex (not even rocket science). If you try consistently every day or even every other day for at least 45 minutes, you’ll be a pro in a year or two. Also, most beginners make the mistake of COPYING. Try to UNDERSTAND all the tools, and then you could make your own models!

Did you make any interior in those 4 hours? If so , make one and Post a pic. of it…
It will surely look good and you will recieve postive feedbacks.
Other than that , the roof seems a bit off. Try adding any textures to the walls or something.

Everything looks good mate. It just lacks the detail in it
Looks good! some things i might comment on though, is the structure. I feel the front wedge on the top wedge should reach each other, so it makes like an arrow. I also suggest making the roof wedges hang over the edge, so it’d look a bit more accurate as the shape of the roof is designed to divert rain. The curves are nice and the supports are good, but I feel that the extruding parts are a bit intrusive, so maybe try shortening them. Overall a pretty decent build
