I can’t rename my group to my chosen name. It says the name is taken, but there isn’t a group with that name. See details for more information.

Do you know for a fact that a group with the same name doesn’t already exist?
It’s either a group already has this name, and or this name is against roblox TOS
I am aware. I will wait for the engineers to check on this—I had this issue previously and it was fixed.
If the name was against the TOS, the error message would tell you. I’m assuming, in this case, it’s just a system error.

Maybe the group you are trying to search is locked or a group that changed their name still owns the name 
. But i am not sure if groups that are locked are still searchable and if groups still have ownership of old names
Either way the engineers should investigate this still
