I can't use Roblox Studio after I updated it

I updated Roblox Studio today since it got a new update, and all of sudden, I am unable to use Studio at all.


It has a massive lag spike when I open it, I tried to open the file I was working at before updating it and it keeps showing me this picture:

And I even tried opening a baseplate and tried to use it.

It lagged too, took it a long while to load it and then had the same error pop-up in my screen, crashing the place and just bringing me back to the menu. I literally didn’t add or do anything inside the baseplate.

Roblox Studio was working properly an one hour ago, and all of sudden after the update it just broke to me? I can’t do anything at all.

I don’t know what’s going on, it was working perfectly and now I can’t even use it without crashing or freezing. Is this a problem with my computer/program or it’s just general?

I just checked the output in the game I was working and this is appearing right now. It’s still crashing.

Try reinstalling studio. I also sometimes get weird issues after updating Studio and I always fix it by reinstalling the software.

What do you recommend me before I uninstall it? Should I keep all the files somewhere?

I think it keeps your files and settings when you uninstall it. You can make copies of your files if you want to be safe though.

I’m pretty sure now that my problem is just the app itself, since after it happened, I didn’t had any problem playing Roblox normally other than just Studio. So I might just try to reinstall.

You’re a lifesaver, it worked. I should’ve thought of that before, I have a slow brain lol. Now I can finally work peacefully, thank you.

I’m experiencing this issue as well. Client updated and now I can’t launch anything. Full local file/temp file wipe + reinstall did not fix. Suspecting it has something to do with whatever the update included.

Did you have the same issue with Roblox studio?

Curiously, no. Only the game client. Perhaps I’m experiencing a different bug.

Then it might be Roblox being down, thankfully my issue was just the Studio program problem.

No, this is a client issue. Mine terminates after about 1 second.
