I Decided to Practise with Lighting

Hiya~

After many, maannnyyy months of procrastinating, I decided to start sharpening my GFX skills again! Since the newer version of Blender has easier lighting (just my opinion), I decided to mess around with that.

Here’s the finished product which I whipped up (feel free to give criticism :p) :

lightinghahaha

If it helps, I used paint. net and Blender 2.9
(don’t judge the chunky antlers, the render broke ;C )

edit: I forgot to mention, the ‘set’ of this GFX was a free model made by the user: ‘alaxtee’!
^ everything else was made by me though. xo

It is a nice picture. Maybe try to tone down the brightness a bit and also shine the light on the whole body instead of just the upper part of the body. There is also bloom if you wanna try that out.

Keep it up :slightly_smiling_face:

is that a knife stabbing into your head??

The lighting is pretty good although the antlers don’t look like they belong mainly because everything else is so light, and then you have those antlers that are just too bold !

Not a real fan of the Pink and the Green and how they just are there.
However I think that’s just me being picky.

Mhm! It’s quite an improvement to 2.8 imo.

Looking at it now, I definitely see where you’re coming from. I’ll make sure to fix that for next time!
