A good way is to invest. Try to find an investor to invest in you. Keep the funds, you can use that to hire, buy, or advertise. It’s better to advertise since you only need yourself, the game isn’t big yet. Try to buy one game icon and one thumbnail. Find a good artist that is cheap. It’s very important to have a good first impression. Once they join, make sure you add something that will keep them in there for a while! Premium Payouts count! Do frequent updates so they will join back, and eventually, they will start playing. Then, you should start advertising. If the game is going well, start hiring developers that can help you with the game!

There isn’t a way we can really answer this question, besides… doing commissions, or making a game worth spending money in?

Like I just tried your game and I wouldn’t spend money in it, because it’s not so much a game, as much as a single mechanic (pushing NPCs). There’s no scoreboard to contextualize what I’m doing. There’s no point to push people.

Also the map, literally a baseplate, should be something that more resembles an actual game.

So maybe you aren’t earning money from a game because you… don’t really have a game yet?

Work on it longer, get feedback from friends, do lots of research, and keep iterating on it until you find more people playing it.

Edit, in this thread you said:

Why would you expect to earn money from a test?

As @Awesomed_AZ, it would be nice to find an investor, preferably a close friend of yours. Keep in mind that asking for investors on the devforum is not allowed. With the funds, I suggest you to sponsor your game, which is generally easier and in many cases better than advertising. Sponsoring won’t require you to draw up a picture for an advertisement, it just shows your game as sponsored like so:

Next, make sure to make developer products and gamepasses that are useful and meaningful. What I mean by this is don’t just create a gamepass called “VIP” and all it does ti give a bunch of useless gear. Good gamepasses can be stuff like “Double Income” or “Infinite Health” or stuff like that, that many people will want to buy. Regarding developer products, it is usually a good idea to sell your in-game cash as a developer product, so that way players can simply buy cash and you’ll get Robux from it.

Also as @Aotrou has said, your game is too basic to have a good reason for players to keep wanting to come back. Leading back to earlier in my post, you will want to find an investor to give you some Robux so you can make some badges, as many players will want to collect all the badges in the game. Don’t make the badges too easy to obtain, and you should also give a reward to those that have a badge.

You need to work on your game for alot longer, I can see months of work ahead of you, good games aren’t just made in one or two weeks, they can take months, or sometimes even a year if the developer is working independently. It looks like what you need are some better developers that can help you improve both the mechanics and aesthetics of your game. #collaboration:recruitment is a good place to find some, and #collaboration:portfolios is also a good place.

No one is going to invest into your game until you have a game. It’s like if you said “hey guys I have this cool idea, invest into it and I will do it”. You need to actually show you can make a game.

Actually if he has any close friends that have alot of Robux, I’m sure they’ll be more than willing to help him invest in his game.

If he doesn’t have the skills and doesn’t have the Robux to hire developers to make a game, how can he show that he can make a game?

Well, you can either buy Robux or get Robux from doing commisions. It seems like you can script, so you can earn money from that. No one is going to give you Robux so you can work on your game.

True, I never thought of that. Still unlikely they’ll actually invest, though.

This is a fantastic and probably going to be heavily argued and contradicted on post/inquiry.

I usually have this same issue, developers cost 80k for a very small map. I have to use irl methods to pay and the map is something that takes 3 to 5 hours.

Ohhhh, but do it yourself then?
I would love to become a developer, I just can’t. I simply do not have the resources to afford a new and capable of PC, nonetheless lets move back to topic.

If you have 0 robux, and you have a good PC; your best bet if probably learning Graphics. It’ll take you a few hours to learn but Ive seen people charge tens of thousands for a thumbnail which takers 3 to 4 hours to make. Its quite simple if you get the hang of it and its majorly profitable.

If you want to make cash through a game, I’m currently trying out a clothing business. I’ve had some large figures opinions and their thoughts and ideas, and I think with a good 20-30,000 you could make a decent amount back. Of course, you have said you don’t have robux, so my advise would be to learn something, like graphics, take a few weeks or even months to master it and voula.

Investors

This is a controversial topic. Often people cannot keep their promise or the person who got the investment cannot pay it off. It always requires for you, usually, to have a large past experience with groups. I HIGHLY DOUBT you will find an investor unless you have a professionally made description and visualisation of the project.

Speak with me in DMS, I’m unsure about hiring you, but I have some major trend tips regarding clothing.
