I get really bad lagspikes in every roblox game

For some reason am getting REALLY nasty lagspikes in every roblox game I play and it seems to be the more I play roblox the worse the lagspikes get

Here are some videos of me playing sword fights on the heights and getting really bad lagspikes:

heres all of my pc data for nerds:

|Device Name| RTX-MAX-PRO-AIFRAMES-WATERCOOLING-RGB-DELUXE-LIMITED-PC
|Processor| Intel(R) Core™ i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.09 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
|Storage| 168 GB SSD INTEL SSDSC2BF180A4H|
|Graphics Card| NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (2 GB)|

IVE TRIED SO MUCH:
Reinstalling roblox
deleting all roblox files then installing
putting it on high proformance on graphics settings
disabling microsoft device association root enumerator

(this may go unanswered forever btw)

that PC is made of low end parts from 10-15 years ago (yikes!) but on PCs with similar low end CPUs i havent seen that happen before

does it happen with a manual graphics quality set and/or non-streaming enabled games?

also, according to your taskbar you have a ton of bloatware installed (Opera GX, etc.)
have you tried closing all of it?

This would be stuttering (I don’t know the official name for it). This happens when your computer is struggling to run the game. It may be time to upgrade your PC!

the thing is is that it was working perfectly without any lagspikes but then i decided to factory reset it because of some bug it had and now its having lagspikes (i did remove a drive inside of it so that would probably show the horrible low end parts shown)

the low end parts are the entire computer, thats a 2011 midrange CPU and a 2013 display adapter card.

what nvidia driver and what did you install post install?
nvidia drivers are a massive pain and some of the most recent ones kill performance

also, what is in your ClientSettings.json file?
this could possibly be a bug

ive got older computers, ones of the same gen, and newer but slower computers and they dont do this

how do i check my clientsettings.json file and nvidea driver and stuff

Download the latest nVidia driver from here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/

your ClientSettings file is in %localappdata%/Roblox/Versions/version-CLIENTVERSIONHERE/ClientSettings/

so i just dont have clientsettings somehow

ama download latest thingy

ok I may be cooked here

You sure you downloaded the correct version?

am pretty sure but am probably just gonna reinstall windows probably because i’ve realised this one they give you is really buggy and just crashes other games

download the one for the GT 710 not RTX 5090

I cant find any best drivers for gt 710 and it only does this on roblox so I might just wait for a new roblox update

nevermind I found the best one and its STILL giving me lagspikes help

I also have been getting lag spikes. Not as bad as your getting, but like 0.1 second freeze. I usually drop my resolution to 1366 x 768 to achieve 120hz consistently. I think one of the updates from few days ago or whatsoever has caused this random lag spikes.

(I have i7 1255U and 16GB Ram)

[Unrelated and it could be my hardware, but I also got BSOD randomly while playing roblox Forsaken at low settings, 120hz smoothly]

imagine having lms then bsod last 15 seconds

oof

I’m also experiencing this issue.

Recording of me inside Flood Escape 2:

Picture of microprofiler from my own game, which at the time has a GUI covering the entire screen. I was experiencing ~2k fps before the random spike:

As seen in the video and picture, the random lagspike occurs in the top level Foreground process of the worker thread, which unfortunately provides very little information as to what is causing the lagspike.

PC Specifications:
Intel I9-13900K
64 GB DDR5 4200 MHz
2x Samsung 980 PRO 2TB
NVIDIA RTX 4080

Overlocked/Has been overclocked?: No
NVIDIA Driver Version: 576.88 (Latest)
OS: Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.5624

Additional Information:
I only had Task Manager & a single tab in Google Chrome open at the time of recording.
These lagspikes are present in every roblox experience I join.
I first noticed these lagspikes yesterday, and I’ve restarted my computer at least 10 times, including multiple complete power flushes.
I’ve ran Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalled the graphics drivers on my PC, but the issue persists.

Edit for additional information regarding the 13th gen CPU; Yes I have also updated my BIOS to the latest available version.

do you have it as bad as i do

u still got any ideas to fix this or do i sadly quit roblox for like a couple months
