I got a warning for a game. Is my game a bad idea?

So I was making a new game which involves bombs and enemies. I got a warning because I made this note in the game. Remember, this is a story type game, where players find clues to unravel the mystery!

This is a clue note by a FICTIONAL CHARACTER, not a threat. What could I change about the note to make it appropriate for the game? Thank you!

The words Explode and People don’t sound very good together. Eventhough it is fictional, it still promotes some kind of an idea with Bomb violence which is most likely prohibited in Roblox TOS. I honestly don’t have any ideas on how to change it up too be more appropiate. But all I can say is take it down a notch and don’t make it sound too extreme.

EDIT: Chances are it’s the “cut the blue wire” and “plant the bomb” reference. Because it sounds like instructions to make a bomb. It’s not the explode some people part.

@haba_nero

Did you use this as a decal? If so, why? Use a GUI.

Otherwise, I have no clue. Maybe because it says “love?”

@xxmamaDUBZxx and @sydmisst : no, it’s not. Roblox had classic combat scripts with bombs that explode people. Not the problem whatsoever.

I think it is the “explode some people” phrase, I’d suggest removing that as explosives are not banned but that phrase could be deemed malicious and a threat

EDIT: Community rules state:

Overly violent content and/or content related to tragic current events or circumstances. We do not allow such content, including:

  • Atrocities, massacres, and other shocking real (or pseudo-real) world events; and
  • Extreme violence, physical or psychological abuse.

So I will have to get rid of the exploding people part. And also:

  • Instructions for engaging in violent activities, including bomb- or weapon-making are prohibited

Im not promoting kids to make bombs. So that’s good!

Overall, I agree with @xxmamaDUBZxx. Dial it down a notch, and see where it goes!

Please read my edited comment:

But in my game, cutting the blue wire on the bomb actually wins you the game (it defuses the bomb)

I’m going to wait for a roblox staff member to tell me what rule I’m breaking to be sure

It might be the fact that it is referring to a lot of violence it is also possible that idiots was not appropriate for roblox although not likely.

I also noticed you used the word love. Roblox does not approve of online dating and roblox may have mistaken this for that reason.

"Soldier,

Look, you’re gonna be a rookie until you can detonate a bomb at someplace big.
Why not do it at that stupid place, roblo-tech? Look, just plant the bomb before they sound the yellow alarm! Oh, and if you ever need to get out, cut the blue wire to defuse it!

No love here, Hank"

This is much better because it doesn’t directly reference violence. The note you have just crosses the line. Mine may not seem very different, but the violent overtones are not as apparent in my version.

New note:

This note dials it down to the point where moderation passed it three times by three different mods. So yes. Big solution!

I removed the love part, the exploding people part, and added that defuse part so it doesn’t sound like we’re trying to make a bomb. Case closed! Thank you guys :3
