I got false banned for a year

Hello i need help

I’m reaching out because my account was recently banned for one year under the claim that I disputed a purchase. However, I did not initiate any such dispute. In fact, I was asleep when this incident supposedly occurred, and I have not authorized any disputes on my account.

I’ve already tried contacting support, but so far, I haven’t received assistance in resolving this issue. I believe this might be a case of an error or misunderstanding, and I’m hoping you can help clarify or review the situation further.

If any Roblox administrator or support team member could take a closer look at my case, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ve been a dedicated player and would love to resolve this issue as soon as possible so I can return to the community.

By any chance can I see the ban note? Might help us in giving you as much info to help your case as possible.

That’s unfortunate to hear, sorry about your accounts loss. Can you tell us anything about what the purchase was? I assume roblox does provide a bit detail about the purchase on their ban screen so can you show that to us? As for support, just try contacting them a lot of times or even try calling roblox! Pretty sure calling the company itself would be better because their entire support team is full of AI.

It happened to a friend of mine, who was banned for almost a year for a reason he does not even know about.

At this point I think Roblox should not have a moderation team at all since they barely do anything… and the site it’s already like 90% moderated by AI.

the thing with AI is that people rely on them too much and never really do stuff themselves, but for a platform with such a big community, it’s reasonable for them to do so. they really should work on the auto moderation, since it’s getting people false banned

I’m fairly sure you just get sent to a voicemail system when calling them up.


Either way, this isn’t really a DevForum issue.

You only get a 1 year ban for doing a chargeback on your account

This results in either a 6 month, 1 year ban or a termination

Contact the billing on support and the responses via support

Also roblox doesn’t use AI on support if anyone wonders. They use templates and many times do spelling mistakes aswell (Just sometimes their support team isn’t that useful…)

@ItsIceDevv, I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t have any information regarding this ban, because I haven’t encountered it yet, and I don’t think you’ll get that appealed successfully, for two reasons.

1- It looks like someone got access to your account, and made unauthorized disputes/charges on it. Unless you’ve got reasonable evidence that this wasn’t you, they won’t get you unbanned.

2- I haven’t seen any successful appeals on Reddit regarding this ban. All of them are categorized under Unsuccessful Appeal.

If you’re over 18, you can dial them on 888-858-2569. A real Roblox employee will listen to your recorded message and make a decision.

I wish you luck with this ban, it won’t be easy.
