If I find a(n) model in the library / toolbox and I use it in my game, will the creator of the model be able to strike me since he or she owns it?
Not if you stole a model that wasn’t on sale
I did not lol. I will be using a body of a camero that I found in the toolbox so I was wondering if I could get striked.
Generally speaking if someone uploads something to Roblox and makes it free to take (so it shows up in the toolbox) you can use it and there is nothing the owner of the content can do because they explicitly allowed others to use the content.
That being said, if someone uploads content to Roblox that they don’t have the rights to, such as Pokémon meshes or copyrighted images, then you may not use them. The person who uploaded it can’t tell you not to use it, but the original copyright holder may still take action against the usage of his/her content.
If its on toolbox it means that the creator has consented on the public usage of whatever he put up. So don’t worry. If it’s a leaked model however, that’s a different story. But mostly all things you see on toolbox are “consented”
What if someone got a mesh (like the body of the camero used in jailbreak).
And that someone never plaid jailbreak found it and decided to use that mesh? Would it be their fault?
Being fairly honest, I don’t think they would care at all. Mad city uses jailbreak assets too, and they still havent been taken down.
