Hello, I started to TheDevKing’s learning Lua series. Firstly I will watch the beginner serie after that advanced serie. I’m trying to learn and when I make something I’m being so happy and want to learn more things. What is your feedback to me? And my question is: If I use TheDevKing’s series can I be a good scripter? Thanks for reading.
I’ve never seen any video of this youtuber, nor ever used any youtube video for education, so I can’t really tell you if you can be good scripter, however you can say yourself depending on how good you feel after watching video and trying some things.
The best teacher is yourself, by trying new things. If you’re beginner there’s big path ahead of you, because being good doesn’t mean that you can make a game on Roblox. Being good means, you know lot of things outside Roblox which are important for your development. Good example could be the knowledge of networking, because Roblox and many other engines/games are very similar in these techniques. If you can understand what is TCP/UDP, what are sockets and stuff, you’ll understand how RemoteEvents work and will be able to provide optimized solutions. The most you know, the most scalable your game can be.
Noone can provide a feedback to you about you since you just started. I’ve seen lot of people showing interest about scripting/programming but not many of them have stayed. The best achievement in your life is knowing what you want to do, show us your passion and come back again with a progress you’re proud of. I can assure you we’ll be proud of you too.
