Well take the L looks good, but there’s no leg movement at all!

Rift S doesn’t have leg tracking, lol. Best I can do is just assume where the leg is, but it’s not accurate

you could try foot planting for the legs maybe.

Can you elaborate? I’ve never heard of foot planting.
it requires alot of math and stuff, but it pretty much aligns your character’s leg with IK, like this:
This is some thing I did with vr a while ago, and watch how the legs kinda attach to the ground i guess
This is for r15, but its alot harder for r6
Open Source IKPF System
Derived from @Scarious ’s code, revamped by @iGottic
What is IKPF?
IKPF (Inverse Kinematics Procedural Footplanting) is world-influenced animation done entirely in code. Inverse Kinematics (IK) is a series of mathematical calculations done to “guess” how parts of a limb should appear based on an origin and vertex. Procedural Footplanting (PF) is hard-coding animation, typically influenced by the direction the character is moving.
You may also know that as “IK Animation,”…
Inverse Kinematics Version: Experimental Testing
(This topic was separated from the suggestion of a Community Sage)
I am releasing two modules that are mostly complete and generally only for more advanced scripters. (The other modules are linked below this thread)
Inverse Kinematics (sort of incomplete)
This IK solver is based on the FABRIK algorithm which I was able to get working with conventional bones in Unity and Unreal Engine. To preface this section, this is currently not a replacemen…
Introduction
This tutorial assumes you are familiar with basic animation terminology, basic animation theory and basic CFrame math operations. You should also be familiar enough with programming to adapt examples into full systems.
If you want to know about procedural animation in general and some use cases for applying it, this GDC talk by David Rosen is both easy to understand and in-depth.
Procedural animation, in Roblox, is a method of animation that doesn’t rely on animation tracks and i…

Reminds me of spore, haha. I’ve tried something like that in the past but it was incredibly basic and i don’t think i have much hopes of getting that to work correctly.
It also wouldn’t work too well with R6 anyways.

This is something I didn’t expect to see today. What a pleasant surprise.

Does this use cframe or tweening or AlignPosition and AlignOrientation? Aligning it or tweening would ensure that it is smooth.
Aligning will also prevent alot of server lag because you could use client network ownership to move on the client.
