I made a hockey puck game! Tell me your opinion!

What maps can i add?

It has a leaderstats for keeping track of the players progress.

What can i add to prevent the round dragging too long though?

Wow, this is really cool, though is it in a beta, it could use some new features!

The only features id like to add are more dynamic maps. That’s all

physics are awful and its unclear how to play

Strange. I have tried making it as straightforward as possible. The physics have been looked at

Pretty fun! I do have a few notes.

Firstly, for this project I would not recommend relying on default Roblox physics as when the part flips and starts spinning, It can take a while to settle. If you don’t want to program custom physics, perhaps take a look at implementing a max amount of time a shot can simulate for before the puck is stopped. On the topic of physics, I have to agree with @finaIlyhappy that they are not optimal. I would recommend switching over to custom collision and movement logic with the puck, and if you are already doing so to look at the system, and perhaps increase the systems speed where possible.

Other than that, I like the concept! It’s simple, fun, great for Roblox. Maybe something indicating where the goal is on each map would be cool?

If he’s making this for fun it’s cool, but we don’t know, most devs actually want their game to succeed

That’s not the whole point.

Calling someones game outright worse than its potential competitors doesn’t help them whatsoever in improving it.

At the very least you could give SOME sort of suggestion that isn’t just “Hey your game sucks and has no chance lol.” That kind of criticism will discourage a lot or potential developers, especially younger ones.

All I ask of you is to consider my perspective and take into account a lot of developers on here are just trying to make something they enjoy or find cool, and want to get CONSTRUCTIVE criticism on. You don’t need to be so blunt.

That’s just how i talk, i’m blunt and direct irl too.

I don’t always say those things, sometimes i actually give feedback that can vastly improve the game, when i don’t do that it’s because i can already tell that the game can’t succeed and it’s basically dead on arrival and working on it further is just a waste of time.

“I’m blunt and direct” isn’t a nice approach to life simply because it’s egocentric.

There is so much I can add to the puck game and the fact you lack any imagination doesn’t justify a reason for you being critical.

Agreed. Good response and good luck with your game.
