I have made a hat, it’s a top hat.

Does it look good?

Alright so, first off the rim of the hat needs to be wider, at the moment it makes the hat look off considering the rim of the top hat is very small. You also need to choose a better color other than green for this hat. If you do make these changes I think the hat would finish up quite nicely.

As a fellow top hat, I have to agree with @21stPsalm that the rim could be a bit larger, and maybe change the shade of green slightly. Other than that, :ok_hand:

It does look ok for a first time thing. I’d definitely use the smoothing tool on it so the faces won’t be as visible. Besides the rim being super small, I’d also add the slight indent thingy that top hats usually have to make it look nicer. Keep up the good work!

Your hat is looking good! But there are two things that I feel like that need to be done:

  1. Use shade smooth on the sides of your hat to make it look round.

  2. Make the bottom of the hat that extrudes over your head go out further.

Looks good, but here is some suggestions.

  1. The top hat’s rim is too small for a top hat that would be on the catalog

  2. the color scheme doesn’t go together with the texture you’re using, i would look better being in the sparkle time category

Please do take these into consideration. But this looks excellent, don’t be discouraged. :grinning:

I agree with most of the other suggestions, but I’d like to add one more.
Maybe you could make the top of the hat just a tad bit less wide, because I feel that the angle created by the difference in diameter between the base and tip is slightly too steep.

If you smoothed out the top part of the top hat I think it would look better. But other then that it look nice!

I would recommend that you make the proportions a little bit more “regular”
as in lower its height.
theres cartoonish, then there is, well that.

also maybe change the color of the white band.
and the hat “rim” seems kinda straight.

either way though, looks really cool.
took a lot of skill on blender.
