I made an environment in roblox based on a song I made

Last night I had the idea to make a song and then build an environment in roblox studio based on it.

The song is “The Whisper of an Oasis” and can be listened to here >

And here’s the build I made the morning after

If you can, please give me advice to improve either my musical creation skills and/or my building skill. Also, let me know if the build fits the song well.

My thought proccess to explain the build

Hearing the song again in the morning; these were my notes. “The full image is a deserty oasis with little vegetation despite water being plentiful with only occasional ripples, as vegetation woud require an instrument to link it to and would make the image too complex to fit with the song. Tumbleweeds will be in the image, most likely the background as the bass guitar is kinda just a background image passing by, akin to the tumbleweeds.”

I only added the trees at the end to complete the build as everything was very empty but most of the other things mentioned are in the final photo.

You may want to lower the bass guitar as it is the most present instrument of them all to go with the quoted idea. With some volume equalization between all the instruments the song will sound a lot better and less muddy!

Thank you so much for your input. I lowered the bass guitar’s volume some and tried to make the other instruments more even sounding but I’m not sure if I did it right. Does this sound better

It sounds a lot better already, a lot less low end! You may want to go further and add more dynamics to the guitar such as crescendos up/down in spots, especially at :51 so it doesn’t just drop out or 1:03 when it just pops back in. What program are you using?

Okay! I added a crescendo in the intro during the first 8 chords, another when the keyboard starts (crescendo in groups of 3 for the first 3 groups) a decrescendo during the keyboards solo, and a final crescendo during the first 4 bars of the guitar after the piano’s solo.

Also I’m using Garageband on my phone.

I’m not too familiar with GarageBand (on phone at least) but it sounds like it is going in the right direction!
Always keep in mind the main instruments/melodies you want to keep front & center and allow them to be heard above any other instrument! Good luck composing!

the song could really set the mood of a sheriff walking around a police station investigating while the lights are off, as a horror type mood
I think it’s very simple and good
