I Made And Rendered A Bread in Blender (first render lol)

Soo I am currently learning blender and I decided to model and texture a bread then I decided why not render this so I rendered it (also this is my first render and never watched a tutorial about rendering so its kinda bad) so what do you think

I think that model is fine but render is very bad

+how do you make it so that the output image has transparent background

Also the render image:

Not bad, try adding materials to it!

It has lol how did you think I added color to it

Well you could of added a material or a bread texture to it. The rest is good, but if you tryed making a stylized one then I’d say it’s good!

Ohhh you mean textures okay now I get it

Well cant really add textures since I cant draw with mouse also yeah I went for a simple style

But thanks for your feedback

You can find textures online at websites such as https://www.textures.com

May i take the bread to make some toast?

Also good work

made toast after some time of uv editing and texture painting:

aslo rendered with higher brightness

Who wants me to put some jam on it?

I’ll take some jam.

I would like the jam to be shiny.

The bread loaf looks great, I would just add textures, as already stated by somebody in this post.

How did you make the curves of the bread? I just started modeling with blender.

I used bevel (Ctrl + B) on the bottom curves for the top curves just extruded (E) and scaled them to the sides and repeat to make a curve

If you go to render properties on the right (it should look like a little screen icon) and, look for where it says film, click it and check the transparency box. That’ll make the scene transparent when you render.

Model looks great! Only feedback is if you’re gonna start doing this as a commission job maybe put some lighting to see the details on the model if you ever add any, otherwise looks really nice.

Adding a bread texture would improve it a lot

Well it has lighting but its very bad but maybe if I wanna do rendering I will watch some actual tutorials on it sonce I made this for fun

bruh this looks like clay lol learn how to texture it, add grains, and stuff.

how to transparent background
click
Screen Shot 2021-07-30 at 11.39.41 AM
scroll down and then click Screen Shot 2021-07-30 at 11.39.54 AM
checkmark transparent.
Screen Shot 2021-07-30 at 11.41.01 AM
works for cycles and eevee.
then, in your render when you’re saving the image:
Screen Shot 2021-07-30 at 11.42.30 AM
change file format to png and change color to ‘rgba’. this adds the transparency layer to your
image.
it is on right corner.

Looks pretty good but the lighting is really flat.

I know how to texture. I just went for a simple style

But if I can find a fitting texture I will definitely use it

Also may max the roughness so it looks more like bread but details and edges will be less visible and the color will be kinda plain

Thanks I will try to improve on it!
