I was thinking that this would function well as a survival island type game, but if you have any other thoughts as to what type of game whit would go well in, that would be great too.
Cool! I think one thing you can improve on is you should blend those things jutting out more in the landscape, right now it is more unnatural stumps, and they need get smoothed out a bit, I would also say have a bit of terrain hanging unevenly under some of those long stretches. Other than that good job!
I assume you didn’t go for realism with this lol. But there’s some things you can try out to imrpove on terrain.
Terain Colors. You can find it under the properties tab for the Terrain object in your explorer. You can mess around with some colors. This is usually used in realistic games since real nature colors are slightly darker than in Roblox. Or you could even make some alien planet like terrain by switching up some colors… Be creative!
Adding paths. It can be very handy in many situations. Leading the player somewhere, or just giving them an idea of where to go. Without any path or indication of where to go a player might feel lost and don’t know what to do. This applies more for bigger or busier maps.
Use lighting. Lighting is often paired with terrain in realistic games or showcase games.
Turn on decoration. In the properties tab of the Terrain object there’s a box called “Decoration” you can check. It adds some nice 3d grass to your terrain. It only appears on pure grass though. Not leafy grass or ground.
I’m not a terrain expert but I hope this was useful.

Make it like Isle, a game where you were sent to prison but your boat crashs.
Theres something lurking on the island, mercenaries will try and shoot you because you escaped the prison boat.
